About the Artist

Born in Brookline, Massachusetts on March 28th in 1948. Peter was raised in Norton, Massachusetts.

He started drawing and painting as a child. Being one of eight children, there was not enough money to purchase art supplies, so he used leftover paint-by-number paints to compose pictures on paper bags after his mother went shopping and cut the bags into workable pieces of paper then ironed out the creases to make the bag smooth.

As he aged, his family recognized his talent and began purchasing art paper and paints for birthday and Christmas gifts. In high school, he took drafting courses and had two periods of art a day. Peter graduated from Marshfield High School in 1967 and joined the Marines. During his thirty years of service, he continued to paint scenes from around the world, at places where he was stationed. Peter sketches and photographs his scenes then completes his paintings in his studio. He has taught classes in the fundamentals of drawing and how to view subjects in perspective.

As a self-taught artist, he has participated in numerous art shows, and has earned high praise and many blue ribbons for his works. Currently, he works with a variety of mediums which include oil, acrylic, pastel, watercolor, colored pencil, and charcoal. Admittedly, he favors acrylic paint on watercolor paper and is having fun working with pastel. Peter’s art prints and blank greeting cards can be purchased at Waimea Falls, gift shop located in Waimea Valley, Oahu, Hawaii or by contacting him as indicated below.

Peter resides in Ewa Beach, Oahu, Hawaii and can best be contacted via email or text.
